Update: Why We’re Staying Closed for Now

In the Name of God the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Dear Beloved Community,

Greetings of Peace! I am writing to share that our Board of Directors’ decision to remain closed at this time, despite Los Angeles County’s allowing places of worship to reopen (with physical distancing, up to 100 people).

While we all miss being at the Center with our community, we take the matter of our community’s safety and health deeply to heart. The COVID-19 infection rate in Los Angeles County continues to rise (almost 80,000 people infected, and over 3,000 deaths). Having said that, we are also taking the necessary steps to prepare for the eventual reopening as our Board continues to monitor the situation.

Thank you to ALL of you who have joined our programs online and encouraged us to add more to the schedule. Alhamdulillah, we continue to offer a robust virtual program schedule and we will continue to be connected in spirit with our religious programming. We hope to see you during one of our many virtual programs offered on a weekly basis.

May God grant us patience and strength during these challenging times.

Peace and blessings,

 Dr. Lena AlSarraf
 ICSC Board Chair
